
Pamela Waldrop Shaw, a native of Park City, KY, graduated from the University of KY with a Bachelors degree in English, a minor in Dance, and certified to teach High School. During the summer breaks, she worked in Interpretation at Mammoth Cave National Park as a tour guide. Upon graduation, Pamela moved to South Florida where she taught on the High School level in the Broward County school system (the Ft. Lauderdale area) for 5 years. In addition to teaching American Literature and research, she coached the Drill team, Dance team, cheerleaders, and choreographed the school musicals.
Pamela began her Mary Kay career part-time in 1986 while teaching, yet one year later had earned the use of her first of 12 Career cars (10 of those have been pink Cadillacs) and left her teaching job to pursue Mary Kay full time. Since then, she has been recognized by Mary Kay Inc. as a Million Dollar Director 12 consecutive years, each time leading her organization to retail sales surpassing the million $ mark for one year, the highest $1.35 million. Twice she reigned #1 at her seminar and for 6 years has ranked in the top 10 Nationally. Pam has appeared on many pieces of company literature and has been instrumental in supporting the content and writing the educational curriculum. Of the over 1.1 Million independent beauty consultants and directors, Pam is one of 140 National Sales Directors. She has over 4000 women throughout the U.S. in her immediate organization and has trained and mentored countless women on the foundational and leadership skills of the Mary Kay business. One of the company's highest paid executives, this success has opened doors for other public speaking and teaching opportunities in the Christian and Corporate worlds. In 1999, she was awarded the American Business Women's Association's Hilltopper Chapter's Business Woman of the Year.
Pam currently serves on the Advisory Board for the National Women's Ministry Association, a new branch of ministry for women out of INJOY with Dr. John Maxwell in Atlanta, Ga. Pam's husband, Jerry, a marketing graduate, works the home-based business with her full time. They and their 9-year-old son, Thomas, live in Bowling Green, Ky.
